Ration Card Rule Changed: The Government of India runs many schemes for the citizens of the country. Crores of people of the country get the benefits of government schemes. Most of the government schemes are for the poor and needy people of the country. There are still many people in India who are unable to arrange two meals a day for themselves. The Government of India provides ration to such people at very low prices.

The Government of India issues ration cards to the people for this. On which people get ration at low price. But now the government has changed the rules for ration card holders from November 1. Now rice will be given in quantity to ration card holders. Know why the government took this step.

Now less rice will be available

The Government of India has changed the rules for ration card holders from November 1. The new rule has been implemented regarding rice and wheat. Earlier, ration cards used to provide different quantities of ration. Or not, earlier we used to mix 3 kg of rice and whereas we used to mix 2 kg of wheat. But now the government has changed this rule and made the quantity of rice and wheat equal.

That is, now ration card holders will be given 2.5 kg wheat instead of 2 kg and 2.5 kg rice instead of 3 kg. The government has also made changes in the 35 kg food grains available on Antyodaya card. Earlier, where 14 kg wheat and 30 kg rice were given in Antyodaya card, now 18 kg rice and 17 kg wheat will be given. This new rule has come into effect from November 1.

This work is also necessary till 1st December

The Government of India had long ago issued an order asking all ration card holders to complete e-KYC. The government had earlier fixed September 1 as the last date for getting e-KYC done. But even then many ration card holders had not completed e-KYC. After this the government extended it for one month. But even till November 1, e-KYC of many ration card holders could not be completed. Now the Government of India has extended the date for getting e-KYC done till 31st December. Ration cards of those who do not complete e-KYC by December 31 will be cancelled.
